Whether you're renovating a period property, extending a family home, or just finding that the wiring in your house isn't keeping up with how you live, KS Electrical handles domestic wiring work across the Central Belt — big or small.
Every job is approached the same way: a proper look at the existing installation, an honest conversation about what's needed, and a clear quote before any work begins. Work is completed to BS 7671 Wiring Regulations and signed off with the appropriate certification.
When a rewire might be needed
Older properties often have installations that were perfectly fine when they were fitted but no longer meet current regulations or handle modern electrical loads. Signs that a rewire is worth considering include older rubber-insulated cables, a fuse board with no RCD protection, limited sockets on each circuit, or recurring electrical faults.
A rewire doesn't always mean the whole house — a partial rewire focused on the circuits that need attention is often the right call, and gets weighed up against a full rewire during the initial visit.
What to expect
Rewires are disruptive by nature, but they don't have to be messy. Cables are run as neatly as possible, any chased walls or lifted floorboards are reinstated carefully, and everything is cleaned down on completion. You'll be kept informed throughout the job so there are no surprises.
